Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day and Cenotaph Ceremony

Remembrance day always falls on the 11th Day of the 11th Month at 11 AM which relates to the first world war but since then the second world war and other conflicts have been included to remember the men and women who sacrificed their lives during these times.

It is also to recognise the men and women who have served in the Armed Forces known as Veterans of which I am one. Up to 10,000 Veterans will march past the Cenotaph in London tomorrow to first of pay there respects to those who have fallen and to reignite the memories and comradeship with those who have served and to remember those Veterans that are no longer with us.

Also a Time to Remember Colleagues

Over a period of 25 years in the Royal Air Force and being to many different locations it is almost impossible to remember everyone you have served along side with, whatever their rank. However, it is a time when you do try to remember some of those who you shared experiences with over the years and wonder if they are still around or have they left us, as I am almost 85 years old. As a Veteran I think myself lucky to have had so many great times and experiences in the Royal Air Force with so many fantastic people of all ranks, striving to maintain the peace over the last 80 years. God Bless them All.
